Sociology and Education Research Guide

This research guide is intended as an overview of library resources and services for students in the Sociology and Education Program. Resources designated (CU) are accessible online through Columbia University Libraries.

Introduction

Welcome to the Sociology and Education Research Guide!

The resources support the program's mission as reflected in a "curriculum that centers on the examination of educational and social inequality as it prepares graduate students to analyze evidence of its sources," that "emphasizes the social context of schools in both cities and suburbs; the organization and structure of schooling; and the intersection of race, ethnicity, social class and gender with educational policies and practices."
